Dan over at Geekadelphia (back in May) mentioned to me that their effords to launch an iPhone app did not go so well. So I decided to help him out a bit and built the (recently released) Geekadelphia app for iPad,iPhone and iPod Touch.
It is a universal app. Which means that it can run on both an iPad and an iPhone. Basically any iOS device >3.2. I had a lot of fun developing the app. The app makes frequent use of custom views, table views and all sorts of fun stuff. I built an RSS reader that fetches the feeds from the Geekadelphia site and a library that reads google calendar xml for so it can display upcomming events. Besides that you can watch the geeks tweet, and notify them of new upcomming events that they haven’t heard about!
